Eco / Culinary Tips

Ecotourism
The Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center has opened in Key West, to teach all ages about the fragility of coral reefs and other eco-systems that are a part of the area. Underwater cameras allow visitors to watch natural habitats without disturbing them. Admission is free. For more: www.floridakeys.noaa.gov/eco_discovery.html, 305-809-4750.

Culinary Tourism
Three Brothers, a Serbian restaurant in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood since 1950, has all kinds of loyal customers, including U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl, who says he’s eaten here for more than 30 years. Restaurant owner Branko Radicevic says some of his family’s recipes are more than 200 years old. Meals are not rushed: The burek, a buttery phyllo dough pie, may take an hour to prepare. The casual restaurant is in its third generation of family ownership; it is at 2414 S. St. Clair St. and earned an America’s Classics award from the James Beard Foundation in 2002. For more: 414-481-7530. Three Brothers is only open for dinner; no credit cards are accepted.
